Every year the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society jointly with the Republican Center on prevention and fight AIDS under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in close collaboration with other partners held various activities devoted to the 1 December, World AIDS Day.
A wide range of events are annually held and this year the event included AIDS testing held by AIDS Fighting Center with the purpose of an early detection of HIV/AIDS. AIDS testing with certain knowledge promotion initiatives was organized at “Park Boulevard” trade center – the biggest trade center in Baku city and Sumgait State University in Sumgait city with initiative of the AzRC Sumgayit city branch (photo 5). More than 100 people attended both events. In Sumgayit there was also an opportunity to organize an education session for students and teachers of the university.
